Getting started

Where to find itSign-in screen › Continue with Google or Continue with email

The first screen asks you to sign in. You can continue with Google, or choose Continue with email and make an account with an email address and a password. Either way works, and you can switch later.

Every new account starts with 14 days of VueBrick Pro. No card is needed, and when the trial ends Quick Scan and the CMF Scanner stay free.

The last step is accepting the Terms. Then you land on the home screen, ready to scan. If you ever get stuck at the password screen, use Reset password on the sign-in screen, and check your spam folder for the email.

Install VueBrick on your phone

Updated
Where to find itMenu › Install App on Android and Chrome, or Safari ••• › Share › View More › Add to Home Screen on iPhone

VueBrick runs in your browser, which means there is no app store to wait on. It feels a lot better installed, though: full screen, no address bar, and it opens straight to the home screen, where Quick Scan and your session are one tap away.

On Android and desktop Chrome, tap Install App in the menu and confirm. On iPhone and iPad, tap the ••• button in Safari, then Share, View More and Add to Home Screen. VueBrick walks you through the iPhone steps the first time you visit, so you do not have to remember them.

Your sessions live in your account, not on the device, so installing does not change any of your data.

The scan modes, and which one to pick

Updated
Where to find itHome screen

VueBrick has one scanner and three ways to use it. Quick Scan is the free one at the top of the home screen. It identifies and prices any part, minifig, or set in one tap and saves nothing, which makes it the right choice when you are deciding whether to buy something.

Session is how you work a pile. Start one and scan parts, minifigures, and sets in any order: each item gets its own result, price, and condition, and everything adds up in one running total and one activity feed. Sets show MSRP, part-out value, and a price per piece, so you can see whether one is worth more whole or in parts. Sessions are part of VueBrick Pro.

CMF Scan is the odd one out. Instead of looking at a brick, it reads the printed Data Matrix code on a sealed collectible minifigure box and tells you which figure is inside before you open anything.

Inside a session, Multi Scan photographs a batch first and prices everything in one review pass, and the Identify menu on the camera narrows the scanner to Parts, Minifigures, or Sets when you are working through a run of one kind. Use the single scanner when you care about each item, and Multi Scan when you care about getting through the tub.

Not sure? Start with Quick Scan. Anything you scan there can be scanned again in a session later.

A quick tour of the home screen

Updated
Where to find itHome screen

The home screen greets you by the time of day and puts the three ways to scan up top. Quick Scan leads because it is the thing you reach for most: one tap, point at any part, minifig, or set, and you get an identification and a price with nothing saved.

Under it, Session starts a session that takes parts, minifigures, and sets in any order, and CMF Scan reads sealed collectible minifigure boxes. On a free account the Session card opens the Pro plans instead.

With a session in progress, Resume session shows the latest one: its first few items, its value so far, and when you last worked on it. Tap Resume to pick it up, or the in progress link to see them all.

Weekly stats sums up the last seven days, Tasks shows your next few to-dos, and after an update a New line points you at What’s New. During your Pro trial, a banner counts down the days left. The menu holds Sessions, Analytics, Settings, and Send Feedback.
